We are all frauds, at least that's what we may think of ourselves even though it's not a fair assessment of who we actually are. We force ourselves to believe that we're not worthy of the positions that we have attained, whether it be, a job, CEO, a trade skill, fame and popularity, even parenting. And you could be a rock star at it all but you just feel like you’re fraud no matter what. 

This phenomenon is often referred to as imposter syndrome. It's not a disease or an abnormality and it's not necessarily linked to cognitive issues like depression and anxiety or self-esteem. Sometimes these negative thoughts are so powerful it may cause you to miss out on higher paying jobs, promotion opportunities, you may take less beneficial risks because you lack the confidence in yourself to move beyond your comfort zones. So where do these false ideas and thoughts of ourselves come from and how do we get rid of them?
